Directions from S-Bahnhof Tiergarten
The S-Bahn (urban railway) stations are designated by the symbol  . From the S-Bahn station “Tiergarten,” continue down the central boulevard “Straße des 17. Juni” and then turn right at “Salzufer.” Proceed along the river bank for approx. 10 minutes. After crossing Franklinstraße, you will have arrived at the Franklin building, where our institute is located on the 2nd floor.

From Hauptbahnhof (central train station)
Take any of the westbound S-Bahn (urban railway) lines departing from track 16 to the S-Bahn station Tiergarten. As the trip only covers two stations, you can purchase a short trip (“Kurzstrecke”) ticket for EUR 1.30. (Tickets can be purchased directly on the platform and must be validated/stamped there as well.)

From Tegel airport
You may consider taking a taxi, as the university is relatively close to Tegel airport.
Alternatively, take the X9 bus (toward “Zoologischer Garten.”) You can purchase a ticket for the Berlin city area “Berlin AB” for EUR 2.10 directly from the bus driver. Exit at the station “Ernst-Reuter-Platz” and walk down Marchstraße to the institute (see map).

From Schönefeld airport
Take the “S-Bahn” (follow the  signs ) from the station “Berlin-Schönefeld” to “Tiergarten.” The line “S9” (S-Bahn number 9) has a direct connection which takes 47 minutes. The the Berlin city area ticket “Berlin AB” for this trip costs EUR 2.10. (Tickets can be purchased directly on the platform and must be validated/stamped there as well.)
